PawPulse Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 20, 2026

PawPulse ("the app", "we", "us") is a pet health management application published by Arcane Systems Inc. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is stored, and the choices you have. We designed PawPulse to be offline-first and privacy-respecting: your pet's health information lives on your device by default.

1. Information You Provide

PawPulse only stores the information you choose to enter, which may include:

We do not require an account to use the core app, and we do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or location.

2. Where Your Data Is Stored

By default, all information is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. It is not transmitted to us or any third party. If you enable the optional biometric app lock, access to the app is protected by your device's fingerprint, face, or device PIN.

3. Optional Cloud Sync (Premium)

If you choose to enable cloud sync (an opt-in premium feature), your records are synchronized to a secure cloud backend so you can access them across devices and share within a family group. Cloud sync is off unless you turn it on. If you never enable it, no health data leaves your device. When enabled, data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored under the provider's security controls.

4. Device Permissions

PawPulse does not request Contacts, SMS, Phone, or Location permissions.

5. AI Features

Certain optional features (such as summarizing vet visits or reading text from documents) may process the specific content you submit to provide the result. These features are opt-in. Where on-device processing is available it is preferred; where a request is sent to an AI service, only the content needed for that request is transmitted, and it is not used to advertise to you.

6. Crash Diagnostics

To help us find and fix stability problems, PawPulse can send anonymous crash reports through Google's Firebase Crashlytics. A crash report contains technical diagnostics only — such as the type of error, the sequence of code that failed, your device model and Android version, and a random installation identifier. It never includes your pet's health records, photos, documents, or any content you enter. Crash reporting is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Diagnostics → Send Crash Reports. When it is off, no crash data is collected or transmitted.

7. What We Do Not Do

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data is stored locally, you remain in control of it. You can delete individual records, pets, or the entire app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes the local database and attached files from your device. If cloud sync was enabled, you can disable it and request deletion of synced data by contacting us.

9. Children

PawPulse is intended for pet owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the app.
